The Environment and Social Development Association (ESDA) Delhi stands as a beacon of hope and change in an era where environmental preservation and social upliftment are paramount. ESDA has been unwavering in its dedication to enhancing public awareness, research, and action towards environmental conservation and social development as a non-governmental and non-profit organization.<\/p>

This commitment encompasses a broad spectrum of activities, including the management of air quality, solid waste management, water conservation, river rejuvenation, mitigation of greenhouse gases, climate action, organic farming, plantation initiatives, tree protection, and the promotion of sustainable development goals. Furthermore, ESDA actively champions various initiatives against social evils, including gender equality and the “Beti Bachao Beti Padhao” (Save Girl Child) Movement, demonstrating a holistic approach to driving positive societal change and promoting the well-being of all individuals.<\/p>

For 20 years, since its inception and registration on July 23, 2004, under the Societies Registration Act-XXI of 1860 in Delhi, ESDA has experienced remarkable growth, evolving from a modest beginning with a handful of passionate environmentalists to an organization with over 2100 life and patron members. These members hail from diverse fields of specialization and are spread across more than 19 states in India and seven countries worldwide.<\/p>

ESDA is a leading organization in the environmental sector, also engaging in academic activities such as organizing international conferences, World Environment Summit, seminars, workshops, and training programs. Additionally, ESDA is registered with NITI Aayog and holds 12AA and 80G certificates from the Income Tax Department of India.<\/p>
