Biodiversity is declining at an alarming rate, forests and wetlands continue to disappear, freshwater resources are under immense pressure, air and water pollution threaten millions of lives every year, and unsustainable patterns of production and consumption are placing enormous stress on our planet’s natural systems.<\/p>

At the same time, humanity is confronted with emerging challenges that extend beyond traditional environmental issues. Rapid urbanization, population growth, environmental health concerns, waste management, plastic pollution, energy transition, food security, sustainable agriculture, environmental justice, green finance, ESG practices, circular economy, artificial intelligence, and technological transformation are reshaping the global sustainability agenda. These challenges are no longer the responsibility of a single country, institution, discipline, or sector. Today’s environmental issues cannot be solved through isolated efforts or fragmented approaches.
